Dr. Terry L. Coomer
Founder and Pastor

Dr. Coomer and his wife Kim, started Elwood Bible Baptist Church in October of 1989 and serve there more than 20 years.  They started Hope Baptist Church, February 2, 2010. Pastor and Kim have worked together in the ministry for more than 30 years. Dr. Coomer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Bible, Graduate of Theology, Master of Theology, and a Doctor of Theology degree. Pastor and Kim's great desire is to see people have an intimate, personal, and passionate relationship with the Lord. Kim teaches in Sunday School and Junior Church and has advanced training in Biblical counseling. She works in the counseling ministry of the church. Dr. Coomer is a published author and holds For The Love of The Family meetings at different churches across the country. Dr. Coomer is an outstanding Bible teacher and those who come and listen marvel at what they learn in our services. We are glad to have Pastor and Kim teaching us the important aspects of how to walk with God as they have sacrificially given their lives to help many people. We are glad for their servant minded leadership of our church.
